Faculty of
Medicine
The Faculty of Medicine has a record of discovery that has changed the world. Today, we are poised to leap forward in health education and research to make contributions of the kind that led us to the discovery of insulin, stem cells and the identification of the genes responsible for early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. This legacy—and promise—depends on our outstanding community of students, faculty, staff, alumni and supporters, whose commitment has been and remains critical to our success.
We have launched an unprecedented $500-million campaign to support our transformative health agenda. With over 6,800 academic faculty, the Faculty of Medicine and our affiliated hospital partners constitute Canada’s premiere health education and training complex. Every year we educate over 8,600 students and trainees. With your help, our faculty and students can transform lives by finding solutions to our most pressing health and societal challenges and deliver on our promise to advance health in Canada and across the globe.
