Over almost two centuries, committed volunteers have played a substantial role in the growing success of the University of Toronto. Alumni leaders have organized and inspired other graduates to stay connected to the University. And philanthropic leaders have set the trend for some 130,000 benefactors to support the University in recent years — a scale and depth of commitment unmatched in Canada. As the University launches the public phase of its new fund-raising Campaign, we thank all our past and present supporters for their remarkable generosity. We also salute these volunteers for sustaining an extraordinary tradition of leadership.
