Important Tax Year-End Procedures
We would like to thank you for considering a gift to the University of Toronto. In order to ensure you receive a tax receipt for 2016, please be advised of the following:
By Mail: Gifts must be postmarked no later than December 31, 2016.
Online: Gifts must be received no later than December 31, 2016. You can make your gift online up until midnight on December 31.
Gifts of Securities: Gifts must be received in our account no later than December 30, 2016. For information on making gifts of securities, please call 416-978-2214, or toll-free at 1-800-463-6048, or you can email firstname.lastname@example.org.
For gifts made in person/by courier: The University of Toronto will be closed in observance of the holiday season (December 21 – January 1). If you must make a gift in person or by courier over the break, please bring it to the Division of University Advancement during our holiday hours at the following address:

The Division of University Advancement will be open to receive gifts over the break during the following days/hours:
- Wednesday, December 21, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

- Friday, December 23, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, December 28, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Thursday, December 29, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Friday, December 30, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The Division of University Advancement will be closed on and unable to receive gifts these days:
- Monday, December 26
- Tuesday, December 27
